With DECAM – Dresden-Erlangen Campus for Advanced Materials – TU Dresden and Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg are aiming to establish a joint campus on materials science. DECAM will serves as the synergistic common research platform across both ­universities. It exploits the highly complementary scientific expertise and infrastructure and simultaneously facilitates the scientific collaboration and networking in the field of the development and characterization of advanced materials. By bundling teaching, research, and complementary training, the basis is set for a close interdisciplinary collaboration between the Dresden University of Technology (TUD) and the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU).
